September - the management company, record label and music publisher whose clients include Rex Orange County, Glass Animals and Adele, - has confirmed that it will partner with East London Arts & Music college (ELAM).
The partnership will involve a donation to enable ELAM to provide a range of programmes, with the aim of supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to fulfil their potential as creatives in Music, Games Design or Film & TV. September’s staff are also taking part in ELAM’s Industry Engagement programme by mentoring students and delivering masterclasses.
“ At ELAM we believe that all children should see themselves reflected in UK culture. Our programmes ensure that we attract young people who would most benefit from studying at ELAM, we remove financial barriers to their participation, connect them with the creative industries and support them in their industry-related next steps. We are incredibly grateful to September for their support which will help to change the lives of our Trainees.’’
~ Matt Sheldon- Principal
‘’We’re absolutely delighted to partner up with ELAM and support their incredible work nurturing the stars, entrepreneurs and professionals of the future. This relationship forms part of September's on-going commitment to help the music business become a more diverse, inclusive, equal landscape and rid it of any historic barriers to entry.’’
