Where can I find support at ELAM?
If you are feeling low, anxious, stressed, sad or alone please reach out to a trusted adult. Within ELAM this can be any staff member that you feel most comfortable speaking to.
If you’re not sure who to go to try your tutor first.
Please be aware that your conversation might be passed on to the Pastoral Team or Safeguarding Team, namely Marvin and/or Francis, to offer further support.
Further support we can offer:
Regular 1:1 check-ins with a member of the Pastoral Team
Remote counselling with an ELAM counsellor (the self-referral form is here)
Referrals to external counselling services
If you don’t want to speak to your tutor or would prefer to go to someone else you can also speak to the following people:
Safeguarding Team:
Clare Sanders - Designated Safeguarding Lead & Assistant Principal for Pastoral & Inclusion
Francis Bavetta - Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Wellbeing & Support Lead
Phillip Okai - Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Progress & Development Lead
Alternatively, if you would like to report a concern about yourself or another trainee anonymously, you can complete the “I’m concerned about…” form here, These are picked-up by the Pastoral and Safeguarding teams.
Although staff at ELAM always want to help, we may not always be available. If you need help outside of usual college hours or on the weekends and you’re not sure who to turn to please try one of the following:
